like a kid and the nickel coin box.

I remember as a kid picking through the nickel coin box for all those neat coins from unknown places. I had a little pirate box full of them. As I got older the coins where lost, given away, and finally forgotten. Last night I picked up a used “Standard Catalog of World Coins” book. Sitting down after dinner with my old box, I soon found myself completely overwhelmed by my ignorance of world coins. A beer helped and I was off and stacking my little treasure by unit types. Soon I realized it was 1:00am already, with half my stack labeled and dated I retired to bed ……. I think I’m hocked on world coins.

I thought I’d share.

Welcome to the darkside

I assume that was a spelling oooops above - but a quite ironic one. For I've gone into "hock" more than once because of a world coin. You may too
