    hello from Ontario Canada

I recently purchased an estate that included many coins, some ancient. I will be selling them on Ebay.

I have one coin that appears ancient, but would like to confirm that it is. Somehow, my instinct tells me it's not genuine. This coin has impressed letters "WRL". It appears Greek like, with a man's face on one side and a sitting woman or man on the other side.

My question is: would an impression actually be on an ancient coin???

    Thanks for any information

    Laura

Welcome, Laura ! Glad you're here. There are lots of helpful folks about.

Post pics. It's possible the ancient is genuine with subsequent modern stamping.

You can register at Photobucket for free, and once you have uploaded your photo, there will be four "code" choices under the photo.

Click on the 4th one (IMG code), then copy and paste this into your post.

Photobucket also lets you crop and even more important resize your photos. 800x600 seems to work best for forums, any smaller and people will scream "Your picture is too small" and any larger and people will scream "Your photo is too large!"

Try it and if you have any questions just ask...
