Hello, you have a new coin collector!

    Hi Everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself since you will probably see my posts from now on. I recently reunited with my dads coin collection, and it has kick started my interest in continuing to collect them.

I hope I can aquire some of the super nice pieces as my dad did, and fill in the blanks he was missing. I want my kids will get into coin collecting as well. I will buy them the binders to start collecting modern day coins.

My collection (from my dad) includes 1804 - 1909 pennies, literally 100's of german marks from 1940 - 1965, a few morgan dollars, and tons of proof and special mint sets (thats what ive found so far). I have yet to get into the gold ones.

My first priority is to get estimated gradings from you fine folks. I really can't afford to get all of these graded. I have no intention of selling any either. I just want to build upon the family collection.

The coin community has been very helpful and polite. The amount of information available is staggering as well.

So thank you for being patient with me and my dumb questions! I know I could research some of the answers myself, however I'm sure most of you enjoy sharing your knowledge!
