Toned coin?

Is this coin naturally toned or it was caused for a chemical or something ?
In any of both cases, the coin looks pretty for me!

Roy will come along shortly and tell you that 'all toning is environmental damage, so it doesn't make a difference!' hehe...

I agree it is pretty, the toning isn't even, but I don't think it looks intentional.
