I'm sure someone will figure it out. Krause reports that 1939 was the year a German led faction of Czechs voted the nation to be a part of the 3rd Reich. Perhaps this is a medal struck to mark the event? Just guessing.

It appears to be some sort of Czechoslovakian medal. I would suppose based on the legends, indicating their dedication to being free again after the Nazi occupation.

The date on the medal refers to when pre-WW2 Czechoslovakia was split; Slovakia became (formally) independent while Czechia became part of Germany (Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren) and was occupied by German military. What is a bit odd, though, is that the inscriptions are partly in Czech (pravda zvitezi, ie. the truth will prevail, and the country name), partly in English (the date, and the Czechoslovakia shall be free again motto). Guess the piece was issued by/for Czechoslovakians in exile, possibly the UK ...

Okay, so here is the deal with the coin (I have one I am holding right now) it is a 1939 NY world fair coin. You can check it out online by typing the words "Czechlosovakia shall be free again" (with quote marks) in Google. Hope that helps.

The reverse design of the Anti-Nazi Czechoslovakian medal is the same as that on the pre-1939 10 & 20 Korun coins.
