Apparently nobody can. There are already several threads about the same issue.

I've also noticed that the Clinker Award nominations seem to be missing as well?? Maybe it's just me??

Nope it's not just you, they are gone. Peter must be changing something again.

Well believe it or not somebody finally did. Within the past couple of weeks I saw for the first time a post that got 4 Clinker nominations. I asked Peter if he had ever figured out how to indicate a winner, kind of like how it shows up by your name if you win the TOTW award. So maybe that is what he is doing now - changing things so they can reflect that.

Purely guessing on my part.

not being a smart-Alec, Doug (as you know I can be. hehehe, but digress...) Is that the threshold for winning an award? 4 nominations? or just more than 1?

I am truly curious and I don't know exactly why, but my guess is something to do with my ego. :P

To be honest I was hoping for 5 as a minimum. But since I have never seen more than 2, and that only once, I decided that 4 must be enough.

But - I am still waiting for Peter to respond regarding it.

I thought the thread of the week and even the clinker nominations were both really fun features of this site, sad to see them fade away.

I liked them too...I thought they were excellent additions to the site. I have always felt that a "thanks" system was better...but having something was nice.

Here is what a "thanks" system is for those who don't know:

I like the thanks system too! It appears less arbitrary. It's in control of the members rather than the mods.

Peter has just told me that a recent update to the forum software broke the feature that permitted the TOTW and the Thanks button (that was being used for the Clinker Award). These features cannot be restored until the software maker decides to add them to the new version - and that may not ever happen.
