Hello, back into collecting after 10+ year break

Hi there,
I just went to my first coin show since 1998 and want to get back into the hobby. I was collecting in my early teens in the eighties when I was probably the only kid to be buying at coin shows. I re-discovered my interest last month after having to remove my co0in collection from my parents' house as they are 'cleaning out the house' in preparation for a move.

Now I can afford more than average grade too so I'm debating what set/grade to collect. After spending some time looking around here it seems a lot has changed.

I especially want to learn a lot more about higher grades, being able to self-grade, and tpg.

My focus has been cents and nickels and I always really liked v nickels. I have a complete set, pre-1990 is mostly f-vf, post-1900 mostly vf-xf. 85 and 86 are fillers and 12-s is F. I think I liked the manageability of the set being relatively small and attainable.

I want to start a new V nickel collection, probably slabbed, but not sure what tpg or grade to go after. I also want to complete a wheat cent and buffalo nickel set but again, not sure what grade as I want to be able to buy more than 1 coin a year.

I'm also wondering what other sites have good forums as I've seen a few and not joined them all yet.

Any suggested reading, links to other posts, or feedback is appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
