1939 Jefferson Nickel--Doubled Monticello

One of the classic die varieties of the Jefferson Nickel series. It is my opinion that no Jefferson Nickel collection is complete without one. I present my newest acquisition, a gem state 1939 DDR NGC MS65. Enjoy!

In MS65 the coin has a population of 63/45.

Absolutely gorgeous pictures! Not to mention the coin is awesome as well.
Looks like it was struck yesterday..
Congrats Lehigh, and how far are you on your Jefferson nickel collection(s), as a whole?

Good point, I am not well versed in the terminology in this end of the numismatic pool. Post edited for content accuracy. Thanks!

What no color other than blast white. I guess that double Monticello will make up for it. Nice coin.

Well, if I could find a rainbow toned gem state Jefferson Nickel die variety, I would buy it up in a heartbeat. Oh wait, think I got one lying around here somewhere.

FOUND IT!
