TRIVIA: Legends of Austria

I'm not a collector of Austrian Coins in spite of all those Austrian coins I've previously written about (Castles and Landmarks), but I do want you to know about these two andf the fact four more are coming (two in 2010 and 2 in 2011).

All six coins are Silver 10 Euro Crowns (32mm and a fineness of .925). If you like coins whose images and devices display museum quality artistry you owe it to yoiurself to see these coins. Since this is 2009 and the second coin of the six coin issue debuted on October 7th, I can only show you two coins at this time. As you are about to notice there are uncirculated and proof versions with low mintages.

After reading the accompanying text you can click each coin for an enlargement that reveals the great detail each coin possesses. Mind you, if you are interested in getting the entire set they have an Austria 2009-2011 Tales And Legends Album available.

Here's their webpage with photos, text,

The link will take you to the Euro Collections website. They are the Austrian Mint's sales representative to the United States. I do not endorse Euro Collections, but would not hesitate to order from them if I wanted any coins they offer for sale.
