The mint is a hard cookie to read! They dont allways do the right or even smart thing.... so who knows what they might do in the future. My guess, if they do it again, they will stick to the higher priced metals to help boost sales! The proof 69's are worth very little more than the raw ones. Seems all Proofs Gold and Silver eagles should grade out Proof 70 or better!! Maybe 250,000 was too many to be a true rarity, I think if they do some again, keep the mintage down around 50,000, seeing as how prices will be much higher now!!
