You think U.S Mint will Release More Reverse Proof Coins?

Like we had in '06 with the Gold and Silver Eagles?

They may. The 06 was the 20th year. Maybe they will do something special in 2016.

What do you think?

I was indifferent to the design idea personally.

I have the silver and gold reverse Eagles. I like them very much....

As for future reverse coins....I think they will make them just don't know on which coins they will be on.

How about a Reverse Proof Gold Buffalo in 2011 for the 5th YEAR ANNV...........

I like the way you think. Let's add a Silver reverse proof buffalo and really crash the mints website. The more I think about it, the more I like it. Great idea Chief.

i love my 06 ASE reverse proof. The mint is a hard cookie to read! They dont allways do the right or even smart thing.... so who knows what they might do in the future. My guess, if they do it again, they will stick to the higher priced metals to help boost sales! Lord knows they dont need to boost silver bullion sales of course that is the 1 mteal i can afford to buy

Hard to predict, I thought the ASE Rev. proof would go through the roof on resales but now you can find them in Proof 70 for very reasonable prices!! The proof 69's are worth very little more than the raw ones. Seems all Proofs Gold and Silver eagles should grade out Proof 70 or better!! Maybe 250,000 was too many to be a true rarity, I think if they do some again, keep the mintage down around 50,000, seeing as how prices will be much higher now!! (Let's see how the '09 AGE's sell at $1300. plus)

I still don't understand what people see in these reverse proofs. To me they are rather ugly.

I was thinking about buying one of those one kilo silver Mexican Libertads (32+ ounces and 110mm in diameter), don't think they are called reverse proofs, but they sure look that way to me

Here's a much better photo from a recent eBay auction:

I'm not even including the reverse proof in my proof ASE collection/wall display. I think it's ugly.

Another or even a regular, reverse proof would be nice but I would prefer that the U.S. Mint get its act together and strike regular 2009 proof silver eagles first.

I am not pleased that these coins are not being offered at all this year.
