Fake 2 reales cob?

I have a 2 real cob, with a (16)97 date. The piece is very thin and even sharp around the edge. It weighs 2.6 grams, instead of the 6.7 or so.

Is this possible for a genuine cob? Or have I undoubtedly come across a fake?

Thanks guys!

By your description of the weight, you've nailed it as a fake.

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling, but being inexperienced with cobs I wanted a second opinion. =)
