Proof Bavarian Pattern

As most members know, I collect German States coinage from the 1500's to 1918. I've just started to include Patterns also.

Just click on the pic and it will get bigger. As for the mintage, I'm waiting for the book on German Patterns to get to me. Sorry.

I wish my coin photography was good. The photo was taken by Ron Guth, the dealer I bought it from.

Beautiful coin...is this the one from germancoins.com? If so, I was looking at that coin awfully hard over the last few weeks and I couldn't bring myself to spend the money on it. Great pickup and I hope you enjoy it!

Yes, it is from Ron Guth. He has a few silver Patterns I'm looking at.

Yeah, that was the one I was looking at. I think he had one that was a PF64BN too...but I thought the 63 had better eye appeal and was cheaper. I hope it's as nice in hand as it looked online. Congrats!

It is not in the book. op 26-Ludwig III King of Bavaria has the closest looking heads side, but it is not the same.
Goetz did do medals for Ludwig 1(OP 521 & 600), Ludwig 2-50th year of death (OP 519)and Richard Wagner(OP 488),Ludwig 3-King of Bavaria(OP26), Funeral of King and Queen(OP292), His Abdication 1918 (OP 267)and desertion of Personal guard (OP266)and Ludwig 4-the Bavarian (OP1) as well as Ludwig, Crown Prince of Bavaria & Princess Therese 1810 (OP 13 & 513); Prince of Bavaria (OP21 &22); Prince ruler of Bavaria (OP 23,24 and 25); Ludwig - Railroad (OP 509) from what I can tell. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
