Hi,the back side has a gold patch over it tested it real gold .silver solider and crud under it.i ripped the gold patch to look under it not on purpose .the coin is like the size of a 50 cent piece that was cut to fit the hole.thanks david

 the coronet and band dont fit as a lid very well .and if it was a censer the emblems of the grapes would be hanging up side down THANKS DAVE
