1849 Coin Front / Back

Any ideas on what this coin is, and the probable value associated with it? Thanks!

It is a California trade token. Some have sold on ebay for between 10 and 25 dollars. One is on ebay now for almost $50. As far as guide value I do not know but ebay should be an ok guide for something like this.
