It might be, if you post a link to it here you may find an expert who can tell if it is a fakery or not, just because it is from asia would not make it a counterfeit, we have coins from singapore that we picked up while there on business, so people from singapore could also do the same.

I looked at the link, lots and lots of world coins that I have not seen, the 1922 russian imperial 50 kopecks made me think a little, did not the bolsheviks take over Rus and execute the imperial family in 1918? still there was a civil war for years afterwards so it is possible that the white russians coined money.

It's not 1922 "Imperial Russia" 50k, it's clearly USSR 50 K. It states that ON the coin. Plus, there's a star on it, the symbol of the bolshevic animals. Very common coin btw.

But yeah, I would not buy anything from him. His silver looks 100% fake.

I will step in and state categorically that I have had nothing but good transactions from reputable sellers in China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, S. Korea, Thailand etc. Actually there is one seller on eBay, Noteshobby, from Thailand that has one of the best by far selections of world paper money around, he ships them very securely, has good prices and is great to deal with. He has a lot of seemingly obscure notes like those from Africa that are difficult to find.

Thanks. But tell me, did the white russians circulate any coinage in the areas they controlled during the civil war?

avi400,
I looked at the links you posted and the first question is what coin do you intend on buying from him? I see his small priced coins and one thing to keep in mind is most counterfeiters or sellers of counterfeit coins sell for larger amounts of money. He looks safe enough to me but keep in mind I don't do that much business on ebay. My experience running across fake coins on ebay have mostly been US coins. Also, here in California it's 11.20 in the evening so you really need to wait for more responses tomorrow morning. good luck

With 1 bid only.

This is a rare coin, that was sold for at list 60 USD in this condition.

Thank you.

Both 1943s appear genuine. I haven't followed this coin for awhile, but $25 for a low end UNC sounds about right(Krause says $17.50). From the pictures, I'm not convinced either coin is an UNC. First coin looks cleaned/hairlined.

I think this auction looks legitimate. High ratings, and the pics aren't blurry.

I guess I am not seeing what MissSasha is seeing. The coins look authentic to me. I would not be scared to buy from that guy. Perhaps if he was located in the Philippines or China, I would be reluctant.

China counterfeit are get hard to pick out!
They just found 1903-S Morgan Dolar in a PCGS holder MS65 but the coins # was not in Pcgs system.they think that they cut 1903-P & matched rev with 78-82-S
So ck your number 1st before you buy!!!!
