Presentation Dates for Members of the Security Engraving Vignettes Group.

Well we have 18 members right now...LOL

Thats Great!!

So Connor is going to kick it off the first week starting Oct 18, 2009

It would be a good idea if you were to give us some basic info on the vignette you will be presenting on in the event someone chooses the same vignette as a topic.
The weeks that follow until the end of December are;
Oct 18th= Connor1
Oct 25th
Nov 1st
Nov 8th= The Noost

Dec 6th= Urbanchemist
Dec13th=Daggarjon
Dec 20th= North49Guy
Dec 27th= RickieB Chief Oncpapa Series 1899 $5 Silver Certificate

I will keep track of who has presented in 2009 and we will start anew in 2010 as well where we left off in 2009.
So w/o appointing anyone to a specific time frame, take a look and PM me so I can fill you in for that week.

In the event of conflicting weeks (2 or more people sign up for it) the first PM request will be upheld.
I will be Happy to do the Xmass week as I will be home and just have to simply post it that Sunday the 27th...but let me know what you guy's want...we can do whatever is good for everyone.

So send me your PM's for a presentation date and it will be made so.

If you do not get to do this in 2009, you will be doing so in 2010..we will not start the order over until everyone has presented a vignette and a synopsis on it and the engravers.

U.S Coast Guard Academy Certificate

The Eagle was engraved by M.W. Baldwin in 1898,the two ships were engraved separately by L.S. Schofield in 1904,and the lettering was engraved by F.Lamasure and H.L. Charlton in 1915
The composite die was used to make a Certificate for Cadets at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

If you asking is it a contest (prizes?) no ,it is a group that is open to everyone who like vignettes,you are welcome to join in if you like or take a look @ http://www.cointalk.com/groups/secur...ing-vignettes/

AS RickieB posted earlier you can post any vignette you like from banknotes/mpc/stock certificates ,in some cases are the same engravers who you see their works on Obsoletes/stamps ,fractional currencies/certificates of any type engravings .
Is that what you are asking ?

Well it looks like all Presentations will be presented in the General Paper Money Forum for everyone to be able to read and perhaps generate more interest in PM Collecting.

Please every one Title your Prenentation to include these words in the Title somewhere;

Security Engraving Presentation for............................................... ..

Thank you. This way it will be easy to spot and check off as completed.

Cant wait to read all of your presentations.

Regards,

RickieB
