Question Is this coin real (pjd1966 aka estatedoctor on e-bay)?

Can someone with more knowledge than I tell if this coin is for real?
e-bay auction item number: 8311816954
It is my understanding that pjd1966 and estatedoctor are one in the same....

Howdy wtf - Welcome to the Forum !!

To be quite honest there is no way to tell if the coin is real or not without examining it in person - assuming of course that one knows how to tell.

But personally - I would never bid on an ebay auction with a Private ID.

While I don't believe anyone can tell for sure from a picture alone, I do tend to think this one is real. It appears there may be some rim damage from the obverse picture but that may be just my eyes. Good-luck if you bid, and if this is PJD1966, you know NOT to play.

Are you sure? This one is operating out of Georgia I believe.

But would I make an offer on this coin...NO! No! NO! No!
Besides they have already got it bid up higher than the coin is worth, even IF its real.

Shoddy item descriptions such as "buying coin pistured" with no other description of the coin.

Awfully strong "LIBERTY" for the condition of the rest of the obverse.

If you decide to bid, please contact me off-forum to discuss a couple of New York area bridges I have in inventory.

I'm sure it is real but it is pretty well maxed out on the bidding, I wouldn't better than AG-3. And the word LIBERTY in the headband is in incuse large letters just like in the Morgan dollar. It is not unusual it to still be strong and clear on an AG coin.

Strange, but all of the links are gone, and the lot #'s are not working?
I guess that they found out that you were watching?

That's because they're a year and a half old.

Both Estatedoctor & Pjd1966 have been the subject of many complaints to eBay & Pjd1966 has been the subject of complaints to Overstock as well.
