New member, new collector - Phoenix, AZ

Hi, I'm new to the hobby... having spent a while traveling around the world, I took an affinity to coins and the idea of collecting coins came into play as I was stocking up on some Silver bullion and realized that some of these coins were fetching massive premiums over the spot price, so I got sucked into the "why" and now have a very humble collection started that I wish to add to with the advise of people who know a lot more than me on this forum.

thanks

Sam

yeah, it wasn't long ago in 1980 when it hit $49 and that was in 1980 dollars. I think the fundamentals are better for silver than gold too. Besides the price ratio issue, there is the never ending demand from the ever expanding high tech manufacturing world.

It's all a crapshoot in the end though.
