How do I reduce my 300KB pics to under 100k

Some of my pics close-ups with the QX3 are OK, under 100kb limit.
All my dig cam pics are in the 330kb range. I went to the lowest resolution
on my camera. It is an Olympus D-510 2 MP. Lowest pics are about
330k. I have Picasa, but no way I know to reduce the allowable kb limit.
Suggestions? help?

First of all crop the pics to show just the coin - not the background. I'm not familiar with Picasa - so I don't know what its capabilities are. But if it's a photo software program - it should have either a resize or compress option that will reduce the file size.

If it doesn't - Microsoft Picture Editor, which comes on most computers has it. Just open the pic with that program and resize it. If you do not have Picture Editor - then you can do it with Microsoft Paint - all computers with Windows have that. Just open Paint ( you'll find it in Accessories when you click on the Programs button ) then open your pic with Paint. Then click on Image - then click on Stretch & Scew. That will open another small window and you will see Horizontal & Vertical with 100% in small boxes. Change the 100% to 75% or 50% - or whatever is appropriate. Then do a Save As - change the file name so your original pic remains - and you now have a resized image with a smaller file size.

Just that easy.
