Thank you. Those USB 'scopes often use bright LEDs, can you turn yours off, or is it always on? Can you just pluck out the bulb? If it comes off you can experiment with your lights which will open up a new world of possibilities with photographing coins.
I don't know the name of my 'scope, but I shoot with an old Canon 4MP camera. I have about 15 cameras but this old one works best. I should mention I am an artist (painter & photographer), who uses Photoshop to color correct and edit my pics. The color with a digital camera varies as the computer inside basically makes calculations and creates an image that is often somewhat off. I typically use curve corrections in a RGB color mode (sometimes Lab) to make subtle changes so the color is closer to the coin in front of me. Most often the color is too yellow and red.
I have a post on another coin board (LCR) where I detail just about every aspect of my coin photography. PM me and I'll send you the link.
