NGC Slabbed Sac PF69 Ultra cameo

Your advice please. As an English collector I am not used to slabbbed coins and the marketplace for them. I have just won a coin on ebay UK and am wondering if it is a good price as the published guides do not always reflect reality.

It is a 2004S PF69 Ultra cameo Sac dollar slabbed by NGC. I will be paying (inc postage) the equivalent of $8-9 US. This seems a good price but what do you think?

Many thanks,

PAB.

With post included, that sounds great to me. It would have cost more (I think) just to have it slabbed.

Plus with the strong pound, you are only paying about four or five pounds - about what a dodgy pint of warm beer might set you back.

PF69 is the average grade for proof coins. Grading cost is alot more than what you paid. Most moderns do not market for more than grading fees anyway. If you like moderns then get them already slabbed or from the U.S. Mint.

There are MANY companies that grade/slab coins, but only 3 here in the US are generaly counted as "reputable", NGC is one of them. The being said, the best advice is to always buy the coin, not the slab.

Sounds like you got a good deal to me
