The side bar ads cost 12,954 credits for a week's worth of advertising. But you can buy 10,000 credits for $28.27 Not terribly expensive for advertising that reaches 20,000 people, or more, in that week now is it ?
Want to know where I get that 20k number - just look at the number of people on-line sometime. Right now there are 235 visiting CT. That goes on all day and night long. 24-7 - Do the math figuring just 10 hrs a day. |
I found this in one of the multitudes of threads and thought it should be made a sticky at the top. These were the details I was looking for.
So the credits do have a monetary value on this site alone, for purchasing classifieds (that do not exist yet) and purchasing advertising (that does exist). Most will never need to use them but they still could have value in trading them to a dealer or seller who could use them.
If 10k credits are worth $28.27 than basically 5 credits are worth $0.01 cent of advertising on this site.
Theoretically, if I have 10k credits banked up with no intention to use them, I may offer all 10k of them to a dealer who wants to purchase advertising, for $15.00 off of a coin I'm buying from that dealer. I get $15.00 off, the dealer gets 10k credits at half price. Just as an example.
It should be interesting as the site grows. Hopefully this post will answer most questions.
