...and they just keep coming! (first spouses)

http://mintnewsblog.blogspot.com/200...old-coins.html

They seem to be releasing these fast and furious this summer, the next one is out this week. Any takers?

...certainly not the prettiest coin of the series.

I actually like this one better than some of the spouse designs. I gave up after Martha Washington.

I will buy it.

However, I will wait until gold gets into the $900 - $950 range before buying.

I think that is a decent looking one, but the only coins from this series that interest me are the "Liberty" coins. I plan to pick only those up down the road.

True but the coins are not on sale yet. Gold has been right around $950 for the last few weeks.

What I meant to say is If the gold is in the $950+ range when Polk comes, I will wait till gold is in the $900 - $950 range.

I wish I could afford them. I think they have some very nice looking coins, especially the liberty coins. I also think they look much better in photos vs the mint drawings. the drawings never do coins justice.

Yep, see your point now. I couldn't agree more. I don't think we will see gold below $900 again this year, $900-$949 is more realistic. Lets cross our fingers.

Agreed I did buy both proof & MS on the Jefferson...I was going to buy the other liberty coins but fear no return on investment other than bullion. Plus the price of gold way too high to buy 1st spouses. I am still kicking my self for returnning the proof buffalos last year I kept the MS 4 coin set I should of kept both. ( ! ) sight is 20/20

I actually think this one is pretty good. I'm thinking the proof will look most excellent.

Still not a buyer though.

As the prices go up and the new coins keep coming out I think a lot of collectors are going to tail off. I am guessing that speculators and dealers are already out of this game.
