Hi,
First off , thank you the help and collective knowledge posted to these forums.
I am in the process of inventorying an inherited collection , and trying to differentiate between coins of numsimatic sp? value and bullion value.
My confusion comes from trying to guess the reasoning behind the collection. None are graded in any way , but rather rolled and noted by decade.
To give you an idea I have sorted around 1400 indian heads.
Of those I would say , based on an illustrated guide and the red book, about 100 would grade VG 8 or better.
My "dilemma" spans across all denominations.
I am trying to get a handle on how best to liquidate the collection, in the best interest of the family. I contacted a well known local dealer and was advised to send them an inventory... No responce , I kinda expected that as I was told they only deal in graded coins and that thier buyer would have to make a decision on raw coins.

maybe they thought the spreadsheet was a joke.
I know selling to the sellor isnt the best route, but I thought I would try several avenues to find what I am comfortable with. Dealers/auction sites/forums
Sorry for the rambling, so for a direct question.
Apart from keydates and Vams. Just what is considered junk silver?
Thanks!
