Lightbulb Hobo's 5,000th Post & CoinTalk's 20,000th Member Contest

I am conducting a contest to commemorate two upcoming momentous milestones - my 5,000th post and CoinTalk's 20,000th member.

The contest is simple - guess the date and time the 20,000th member joins CoinTalk.

The contestant with the closest guess wins. In the unlikely event of a tie the contestant who posted his (or her) guess first is the winner. Prizes will be awarded to the top three guessers.

The official date and time of the 20,000th member's joining will be determined by a CoinTalk moderator (if they will be so kind) or by myself (if I happen to be on-line at the time).

Please keep your entries simple. Date and time are all that is needed. Please keep this vital information separate from anything else you wish to post so I don't have to search for your entry info in the middle of a paragraph.

The cutoff for entries is Tuesday August 11, 2009 at 4:00 PM EDT or when the CoinTalk membership total reaches 19,980 (whichever comes first). At this time CoinTalk membership is at 19,941.

One entry per contestant. Contestants with multiple entries will be disqualified.

Three prizes will be awarded.

If evidence of tampering or manipulation of CoinTalk memberships is observed the contest will be voided and no prizes will be awarded.

I am the final arbiter for determining contest winners.

FIRST PRIZE (for the contestant with the closest guess) - A beautiful "genuine solid brass" Christmas Tree Ornament of the Denver Mint. (Made in China.)

SECOND PRIZE (for the contestant with the second closest guess) - A mouse pad with a snow-covered Christmas scene of the Denver Mint. (Probably made in China.)

THIRD PRIZE (for the contestant with the third closest guess) - A pewter ornament of the Denver Mint. (Also probably made in China.)

The prizes were purchased at the Denver Mint Gift Shop on Thursday especially for this contest.

Photos of the prizes will be posted once winners have been determined.

Good luck.

My guess will be for August 13th at 23:01 PM (11:01 PM for those not familiar with military time). By the way, Hobo, congrats on the 5000th post and thanks for the contest.

Do we get a bonus prize (probably made in China) if we also guess the date of your 10,000th post?

Sure, guess away. The prize (probably made in China) may contain lead.

By the way, contestants (for my current contest) are reminded to make the time portion of their entry clear (AM or PM). Military time (as some contestants have used) is fine.

All times are EDT unless specified otherwise.
