Collecting Taiwan coins--1949 to present

Am currently located in Taiwan and seeking Taiwan circulated coins. Am nearing completion but still working on details such as mintages for years. Current books here only take me to 1980s and so looking for alternative sources. Began in March of 2009 on this collection and am currently looking for most NT$1 pre-70 (1981); NT$50 for 88, 89, 90 if they exist; NT$10 54 (1965), NT$5 54, 67-70, 97; NT$.50 43, 69, 70. But since the look has just begun, imagine they will show up with time. Have some good sources if I have to purchase. Local post office and Bank of Taiwan have been good sources for coins at face value!

Welcome to our humble forum! I'll have to look and see what, if any, Taiwanese coins I have available and then we can work something out.

Thanks for the welcome. Hope that it will be an interesting time. Am getting use to the format and time frame of some questions. Did not realize some were so old. Also one reply was a bit "hostile." Doubt that you'd have something worth shipping this far.. am in Taipei, Taiwan. Again thanks for the welcome and if you have any questions re: Taiwan coinage, drop me a note.

Sorry, don't have anything on-line but can give you a site that has all the most beautiful mint coins and some of the commemorative ones. http://tilee.myweb.hinet.net/samcoin...ns_taiwan.html and http://tilee.myweb.hinet.net/samcoin..._taiwan_m.html Have most of these in my collection but missing a few years. Just began this March!
