question from a new member.

i have a friend who found a 1965 quarter that is double stamped identically on both sides with heads. its worn a bit and seems to have been in circulation. I thought it could be a fake. who knows. both sides have the same stamping. its worn a bit but its all legible. is this a rare coin?

this guy doesnt have much and is hoping he found something great. I told him most likely it isnt, but id check for him.

Anyone?

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum!
From what I've heard it's probably a magician's coin.

I have never seen one in my 5 years of collecting that has been real.

Also the mint dies are made so that there can't be two heads on the dies.

Here is in link--

Yes its a fake...what they do is take 2 quarters and split them in half and then piece them back together....many Co.'s make these if I remember right...
