I need a raw 1909S Lincoln for my little collection, and I'd prefer a toned coin. I found these two, both are over priced/graded in my opinion at VF, I think they are are F, what are your thoughts? Look at the separation between the cheek and jaw. Also the reverse wheat lines and grains look good. I must say, I have some reservations about the authenticity of the top coin, the S position is suspect. I, of course haven't bought anything, but both are raw and from ebay and I do favor the first coin. The position of both mint marks seem a little slanted and towards the rim to me. Maybe the tilt of the coin, but I would want to look carefully for added mintmark. If return policy is solid, and price is good, might be worth a try IF you trust yourself in looking for work around the mm. Otherwise, I would pass. I guess I better pull out my Lincoln book and do a bit more research on the mint marks, and maybe ask for a closeup photo, since I can't tell much by the stock photos. But on ebay, I'd just look, laugh and go back to watching TV. I looked at a lot of other pictures and the mint mark was always under the 0 or a little to the left.
