First hello from Green Sovereign

Hello all

First time here and first time ever to coin collecting. I'm a complete beginner and my collection constists of a single 1997 Krugerrand bought last week at Johannesburg airport just before boarding my flight home after vacation. I have since ordered a Nelson Mandela Robben Island 1/2 oz gold commemorative coin thats due for delivery in a few weeks.

I think I would like to build a collection of modern commemorative coins from around the world but I'm open to all ideas and see where my new interest takes me.

I live in West Europe.

I found Coin Talk in a google search on a company called First Federal Coin Corp as I keep getting investment brochures from them but the email address they give just bounces back. It was a thread to this forum from someone with a similar question about them. I think I will heed the advice given then: avoid any dealer aiming at 'investors' who dont know their coins.
