Since you asked Connor here are the South Carolina and Tallahassee RR Notes.
I am getting lazy and did not scan some of the reverses but thay are beautiful (my opinion)

Please do not ask me to explain but these images will only be here for a short while...I will remove them soon.

2 from me too! the US should proudly display true artistry on our currency AND coins. Dead presidents need to go.

America is so full of great people, great architecture, great art, great natural landmarks .. heck even man made landmarks! We have some of the best open plains, some of the best farming, some of the best mountain ranges, some of the best hills, valleys, tree grooves, fruit grooves, mountain vistas .. we have buildings built hundreds of years ago, we have history stretching back 300 years, and over 200 as a united country, the US has some of the most diverse animal, bird, and insect base, we have deserts, swamps, lakes and oceans. The US is one of the most diverse in the world for almost any type of people, type of land, type of pretty much ANYTHING....

and we showcase it all with dead presidents that display ZERO artistic quality.

I should stop saying no more dead presidents ... i mean, most of the nations presidents did actually do great things! US presients do and should be honored by being placed on our coinage and currency. But surround the portraits in TRUE US STYLE! With Art, With celebration, with the fabric that IS the United States of America!

I look at currency from around the world. France, Mexico, England, Australia.. and one my favorite - Suriname.... and just so many others have incorperated a balance of art. Heck, i may not like all the notes from every country, but love it or hate it, you can form an opinion. The use of vibrant colors, the use of objects of national pride ...

my appologies... enough rambling!

I agree to many years of dead presidents ,they deserve their place in history & on currency but a few series of colorful notes with old vignettes would be nice. The "Green Back" could still remain on the backs.

I remembered viewing and reading this thread recently and really admired these stunning train vignettes and relics of the great era of trains in the US, which has sadly withered away. It's a shame that our network of rail transport has been allowed to fall apart and was pushed out of sight to exist only in the form of freight. Especially while other nations have such high tech and 'greener' technology in trains in constant use.

I know this is a PM forum so this is just an fyi for those of you who are also into coins too or just love train imagery. I just wanted to share in case PM folks don't read Coin News or get their email newsletter, that they had this story about the last in the series of Austrian Railway of the Future Silver Commemoratives, a 20 Euro silver coin just issued. You can see the other Railway commems from the Austrian Mint here.
