nice find! barr notes are not all that rare really - that said, i myself have only found a few, but considering how cheaply they can be bought online, one has to assume they are very very common!

there are numerous reasons as to why or how a barr note gets put into circulation - IMHO none of them are happy but i still get stoked when i find 1 lol cant help it even if they are sorta common.

At one time I had over 100 Barr * notes! all unc crisp! and like a dumb young buck wine women and song I spent them! yes you guessed it wine women and song... not in that order but yes I did! Yep My Father worked 47 years for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Balto. Branch DUH.... He told me when he gave them to me to hold on to them that they be worth something one day!
