Exclamation Interesting GIFT the world leaders were given at the summit!

I found it most interesting that the world leaders were given GOLD COINS at the summit this week. http://seekingalpha.com/article/1481...m?source=yahoo Also, the company that produced the GOLD COINS are developing a way for these GOLD COINS to send and receive info. This info could be used to stop counterfeiting and "TRACK" the money

I would think that if coins could be tracked, they could also be tracked by theives, increasing the risk of theft rather than decreasing it.

World hunger, riots in China and Iran, terrorism......and these SOBs get and accept gold coins ????!!!!!

We be in heap big trouble folks.... but to keep this coin related....the coin given to the USA should be auctioned off and ALL OF THE PROCEEDS go to a needed charity.....and it should be made public.

Presidents don't keep the gifts received at these official functions. They are part of the "game" of international diplomacy and end up in a library or museum.

At current prices - there isn't enough silver and gold available world wide to back a unified currency. I wonder how much the value of each must be to support such a scheme.

More like the General Services Administration gets to keep them. And dispose of them as they see fit if the Prez either can't cough up the "fair market value" or don't want it.
