These four were found at 3 different sites today. A park, a old home site and another old home site. The 1890 is holed. Usually the older dated coins are holed. Also pictured are the clad and wheaties I found as well. The bottom 8 are the wheaties oldest is 1918. Also found a silver ring and old spoon plus a cool little toy car. Those are not pictured because this is a coin forum. A long time ago it must have been very popular to hole coins to wear. Look what I bought off of ebay for my 8 year old daughter to wear (and she has, to school) a 1900 off center au coin with a nice hole in it. I told her some woman wore it a hundred years ago. It is part of the life cycle of coins to be used in ways other than direct commerce or collecting.
