Yet Another Gold Certificate

I'm quite fond of 'em. This is my second 1922 $10 but I just couldn't pass it up.

Great looking bill. I just lost out on this one on Tuesday's HA auction by $20 bucks in the last 20sec's and this was a real rare one, I was trying to steal it for $200 when it was worth much more .

Only 58 examples of this scarcer Friedberg number are currently listed in Track & Price.

rjbeck - if you were trying to steal it, and only missed out on it by $20. .. i would say someone else got it for a real good steal! maybe another member here??

Yes, the gold certificates can take quite a toll on the ol' piggy bank. One could conceivably by a handful of other nice notes, even large size notes, for the cost of a single gold certificate. The 1928 $10's are the only exception, $150 should get you an EF-40 example.
