Finnish Marka - 1922

I've had this coin for sometime and only recently identified it as likely being a Finnish Mark. It is dated 1922. The Finns gained independence from Russia only 5 years prior to the minting of this coin. Is this coin silver? It seems to be tarnishing like silver. I don't want to take it out of the sleeve to see if it rings if dropped. What is the value?

Aside from that, I got a Finnish 1976 1 Penni out of a cereal box years ago and have kept that too.

Thus you see my grand Finnish coin collection.

Thanks.

Yup! I tried to include the bear in the picture but the picture was too big so I had to shrink it down. Wasn't the bear the mascot for Sugar Puffs?

10 million??? Gosh, I guess they wanted to get lots of their own coins into circulation. Still, it is a cool looking coin. I like it.

Thanks.

OK - the 1 penni was struck in aluminum and issued from 1969 through 1979 - they issued between 28 to 111 million depending on year. In Unc most are worth 50 cents, the earlier years $1 - the first year $2

Nope Have been lookin for some krause books that I don't have to have a credit card to buy, even older issues, no luck yet though... All I've been able to find locally is the u.s. canada and mexico prices... I've had to go through the hassle of doing a search for almost every coin before I purchase it lol
