I acquired this coin to day. It was minted in 1545, under the reign of Emperor Charles 5. But what is it? Is it a Thaler? And from what part of the empire? As I do not have a Krause catalog covering the years 1501-1600, I´m dependent on help from The wise people of Cointalk ( ) to determine what it is. Krause only goes back to 1601, no coins earlier than that are cataloged by Krause.
