My Mood: | Park National Bank Note
Hello! Anyone know population figures for Park National Bank Notes of Knoxville Tennessee, Charter #2049? I have one such note and would be very interested to learn more about it. Furthermore, any idea how much this note is worth? Thanks in advance.

this bank succeeded the East Tennesee Bank of Knoxville on December 21. 1933. there were 28,410 of those notes printed. as far as price that particular note since it is #1 would probably be worth $300-500 maybe more to the right collector. the notes in general depending on condition could run from say $150-$175 and up. my info is from the "Standard Catalog of National Bank Notes" but the version i have is decades old so the prices in the book arent correct so i just adjusted them to todays possible price ranges. hope that helps
hope that helps.

I would expect the value at auction to go a little higher than what has been suggested. Although it appears to have some wear to it, there are some serious collectors of Tennessee Nationals that would probably drive the price up particularly since it is a serial number 1 note.

My price guide I have is 20 years old. I would say its worth what anyone is willing to pay for it

Were any other denominations printed by this bank? I have seen just two others, both of which were tens. Thanks for the help!

5's-636
10's-28,410
20's-6,775
They were all Type II notes.
so it seems like the 10's would be the most common. thats probably why you saw 2 of them. the 5's are the ones to get. once again hope this helps

nice #1 note. those types of ntoes are so very hard to find... IE why they sell for such exuberate prices when they do surface for sale. That this is an older note makes the value climbe even higher.
IMHO i would never sell it lol you might regret having done so later on!
thats just awsome

you might might want to keep an eye on Heritage they might have one up at some point. the 5's might never be found the 20's you have a little bit of a better chance. problem is those numbers are the actual notes that were printed. there is no telling how many actually still exist

Both in lower grades then the one pictured above, serial numbers 6462 and 27448. If anyone finds any others, especially denominations other than 10, feel free to let me know.
