Wondering about my penny

I recently found a 1951 D wheat penny that has a terribly disfigured back. The Lincoln side looks normal but the other side looks is almost impossible to make out. It looks almost like it was spun around and all of the letters came off. You can only make out the PLURI and the U in PLURBUS and the UNU in UNUM. You also can only make out the O in ONE CENT. I was wondering if someone tampered with the penny, or if this is a mint error

Welcome to the forum crov16. It could be a mint error. How about a picture.

could possibly be an error, but would have to see a picture to confirm.
