Great thread ...

I also have a "O" morgan collection. http://coins.www.collectors-society....D=419&Tab=list
I have always been patient in my purchases and the number one priority is the quality of strike. For the years collected thus far I have been able to find MS quality coins in strong strikes.
Unfortunately I don't have photos to share

Interesting article. I do have a 1884 O Morgan$ graded MS64 in an old green pcgs slab. I have to tell you the coin an excellent 64; perhaps could be upgraded to 65. It has very nice shiny proof-like devices. Maybe an exception to the "intermediate" strike attribution.

Not an exception. I defined my intermediate category as a "very wide strike quality" in the original post. So, those coins can be found with amazing strikes but also with quite poor strikes and everything in between. So, it sounds like your coin would be on the nicer side of the strikes.
