LOL. Will do. My brothers are lighting most of our fireworks this year, which kind of worries me

Well, after reviewing every picture in one sitting for the first time we are only slightly closer to choosing winners. Might be Monday before I can announce them.

Well, after alot of viewing of the pics, discussion, taking notes, etc its been alot of fun. When we all made our own notes the first time we went through them together, I was using a 5 star system. 17 pictures had either 4, 4.5 or 5 stars. My dad used a 1-10 scale, and he had about a dozen pics that he gave 9 or better. Thats just to show you how difficult this has been and how many great pictures there were. Eventually we each chose our top 6 pictures, and wrote them down seperately. I gave them points accordingly. For example, if a picture was my favorite it got six points, if it was my second favorite it got 5, and so on down to 1 point for sixth place. Then after I added up the points from all of the judges we had a top 11. I'd like to give all 11 prizes, heck I'd like to give all entrants a prize. But I don't know if I can, lol.
ANYWAY, to get to the point, we have a TIE for first place.
Talley's preying mantis and Regandon's bird both got the exact same number of points. Initially I thought one of the panoramic or scenic views would win, and they were really good. Some of the animal pics did very well though, and we hated to elimenate them, just like we hated to eliminate any of them. But these 2 particular animal pics came out on top.
I've decided I'm going to make a poll in a new thread to decide which one of these should be #1, and the other one will be #2 of course. I'll keep everyone in suspense for now about who our 3rd place winner will be.

Well, very cool. There were a lot of cool pictures in that bunch. Some really good landscapes and nature shots that I really liked. Congrats on doing so well Regandon and the third "mystery contestant"!

Announcement for everyone who entered my contest. If you entered, but did not win a prize, you can send me a PM with your address if you'd like me to send you a Lincoln Rail Splitter Cent from the Denver mint.
Just because all of the pictures were so great.
