Coin catalog collection web page. Opinions and help needed "ideas and templates"

Hey guys…

I’m interested in launching a catalog of my coin / currency collection. I have wanted to do this for a long time and now I’m getting to it. I have been thinking for a few days about the layout of my website and how I would go about browsing the coins. I’m interested in your opinion about what a site catalog should contain and if you would like to share your own web site collection page. I have seen some of your collection pages and they do inspire.

I believe I will be using Dreamweaver to create the page.

My Mood:
I had a website for my type set.
I set it up in HTML (Dreamweaver does the same thing except you don't have to understand HTML).
My website is outdated now but if I can get the last two coins for my type set this Friday, I'll review the code and republish.
And with my new camera and imaging techniques I can get better pictures.

This doesn't help you with the suggestions you asked for.
But I will offer you one: Spend a LOT of time planning how you want it to operate.
Make test page formats, show them in here and get comments.
Then make decisive decisions based on those comments. Don't keep second guessing yourself otherwise it'll take forever to get the website put together.
Get it right the first time.
Redoing it because you didn't think ahead well enough is a REAL pain. I'm talking from experience.
