1795-B 6 Kreutzer

Hey everyone!

My grandfather passed down his collection to me and this was one of the ones in there. It looks to be a German 6 Kreutzer , dated 1795, B mint?

Does anyone have any reference on it? Thanks!

It is Austrian and was minted during the reign of Franz II 1792-1806 (as Franz I of Austria 1806-1835). It was minted at Kremnica (Kremnitz, Hungary).

Some of the minor coinage had high mintage numbers. I do not know how many of your coin was minted though, sorry. As a reference to Astrian mint marks during this period. The Mint that minted your coin also used the following mint marks:
B, K, KB.

That's alright, not to worry. It's still a beautiful coin from my point of view.

RE: 6 kreutzer

This very nice 6 kreutzer coin is Austro - Hungarian one not german, strucked for Austrian Empire (tere are some similar coins strucked for Hungarian regions of Austrian empire). It was minted at Kremnitz mint (K.B. or B minting initials). It is minted by Austrian Emperor Franz II, and is strucked on 0.700 silver quality.
