The Hong Kong Shanghai bank is still in business. The marks on the backs are called chops. Its nice Ole paper and i bet the HK/S bank would gladly cash it for you. Traci

All your post 1918 German Marks are called notgeld (Weimar Notes) In fine condition they go for about $2 a piece. Ripley...Some more Weimar stuff.....

So the old guy with a beard is Japanese yen.....I had thought it was chinese. I have several others of those, here is one scan....I won't post the rest, but if you can give me an approximate year or pic # so I can look them up it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Secondly, here is my oldest world note from 1898.....looks russian like the other unidentified one above....
