OK, here are a couple of German notes...any help identifying them and their worth is appreciated...

This note is listed in the catalog as P #113 It could also be a, b or c but the price is the same. Old date Dec. 15 1922 new date Sept. 1923. Talk about inflation that note went from 1000 Marks to 1 Million Marks (over print)in less than a year. The value is VG 2.00, VF 4.50, Unc 10.00. If the over print was inverted on the note it would have been worth a bit more.
Inverted VG 50.00, Vf 100.00, Unc 200.00.

The 100 Mark note is from the Weimar Republic it is a Reichsbanknote or translated a republic treasury note. Catalog number P #69b. Your note has the 8 digit serial number that's why it's a b on the catalog. If it had a 7 digit serial number it would have been an a. Price VG .15, VF .25, Unc 4.00.

One more, last one for a couple days...

That German 100 mark. I got another just like it for the first person to identify the dragon note and the worth of the 1917 Canadian note (earlier). If you find it and if you are interested, I'll ship the note to you free. I appreciate all your help.

The Sonora note is movie or prop money. These were made for use on stage or i the motion picture industry. There is a book on movie money but I do not have it to tell you more.

Correct me if I'm wrong on my German, but I *think* it's worse than that.... I think "milliarde" means billion, not million...I think million in German is just "million".

Here is a bit of info on the French Allied issues

France, Operation Tom Cat

There were two issues for use in allied controlled areas of occupation. The first issue is known as, "supplemental" and has a french flag on the reverse. These notes were issued in denominations of, 2,5,10,50,100,500, and 1000 Francs.

The second issue, known as the "Provisional" issue replaced the first issue in June 1945. These notes have, "France" Printed on the reverse and were issued in denominations of, 50,100, and 1000 Francs. The 2,5, and 10 Franc supplemental notes remained in circulation with the Provisionals until late 1946 and in the case of the 50 and 100 Franc notes til 1948.

So the 2nd one is the "supplemental?" It really is a beautiful note.

The 1000 Franc note has a date of 1949, and your reply talks about it ending in 1948, so for now, I'm a little confused.......Maybe Dave M can shed some light.
