| Anyone have problems with pages loading here?
I'm on several other forums at different sites and every page loads as fast as I can hit the link. Actually my machine runs really fast everywhere but here.
Here it takes forever. Many pages wont load at all without several tries.
I'm told it's my browser but why would it only be a problem here.
It's like there is a boat load of information having to load with every page.
I have to try several times to get a post I wish to make, work.
Any thoughts?

Not having any problems here. Not sure if it will help you any, but when you load many pages ("new posts", "today's posts", and I assume most searches) there is a line just above the blue line (Thread / Thread Starter Last Post Replies Views Forum) that gives you the time it took to search. Mine usually take .02 - .06 sec. at least for the typical page. If yours are similar, than the problem is at your computer.

Hey Larry, actually, I should have brought this to the attention of the public, but it seems like around 2:00 at night everynight cointalk goes down for a matter of minutes. I will be in the middle of browsing cointalk and then it will just cut out when I go to change the page. All other sites work during that time, but cointalk is out for the count.

I think I experience what LD is. I Open 3 or 4 pages (at least) at a time before the first one is actually up. It some kind of lag or something. Not any faster loading one page and didn't happen before the new style. Not experienced elsewhere. I just load 3 or 4 pages at once to get around the wait.

I have had problems with the pages loading once in a while. I have found it is usually the offsite adverts, specifically the ones from googlesyndicate.com, and once with the new Amazon.com sidebar ad.
The only real problem I am having at the moment is I am not able to edit any of my posts!

I had a page here time out earlier. It seems to happen every now and again but I just ignore it.

| very slow
Coin Talk has always been very slow. But now it seems to be extra slow loading. I suspect it's the ads which I never look at anyway.
Other forums load super fast so it's just here on Coin Talk that lags.
I'll be damned if I will buy anthing from any of the vendors that cause a delay.

lest you forget, without those vendors this site could not continue to exist. Some of those vendors are also members.

One thing to remember guys, if it was Coin Talk causing the issue then everybody would experience the problem - not just a few. Think about it.

Gang, try clearing out your Temp internet files and cache. Its not the banners, it seems that they are static set so they are just viewed as pictures on the pages. Why its just CT I dont know but I have found that it helps to clear out before I come here. I noticed it more after the little my mood things appeared.

Also, try to remember that there are more just two things involved when you access the internet -
1 - your own computer and everything that goes with it
2 - the site you are trying to contact
3 - your ISP and all of the servers it goes thru to make connections
issues can always be with any one of the three

I agree with you Doug. The tough part is figuring out where the problem is.
Thought others might be having the same problem. Looks like only a few.
Just looking for fresh ideas to get past this. I did find a workaround that helps some. Once the top of the page loads I can hit the back button and then the forward. Sometimes this will make the entire page snap in. Not a cure but it helps. Thanks all.
