Coins of the World Sized Dansco Coin Album (7011) World

Hi all,

I was thinking of purchasing a Dansco coin album for my Egyptian collection, but i dont know what type will be suitable to hold all the coins and if the album will allow a type or date arrangement of the coins.

I found this one;

http://www.coinsupplyexpress.com/701...sku-23920.aspx

Will this be suitable?
Has anyone ever purchased or used this one?
What would you recommend regarding which album to buy i.e. Dansco, Whitman...etc and which model of each?

I know i asked a lot of questions but i know nothing about this, and there is no album that is designed specially for Egyptian coins?

Thanks

This Dansco album is designed to hold various crown coins from around the world size 10c to 50c.
That statement makes no sense. "Crowns" are generally in the 37-40mm range, and "10c-50c" are much, much smaller.

It seems to me that the problem with album pages as described (but not shown in the ad) would be the virtual impossibility of having the hole size variety match the collection size variety.

IMHO 2x2s in 20-pocket plastic pages make a much neater presentation than Dansco/Whitman pages with lots of empty holes.

Dansco #7011 is only a binder. You need to buy 12 slot plastic pages for this binder. You will then keep your coins in 2X2 and then slide them in plastic pages.

Those plastic pages for this album is not good for long term storage. Last time I checked, the new packet had strong smell of shower curtain. Stay away from those pages...

If the coins are in a 2x2 and then placed in the holder , then the PVC would have no effect on the coin because it would not be in direct contact with the piece.
