My Mood:
Gold commemorative and updated page.

So, I think the modern gold commemoratives are slightly under-rated. Most can be had for practically dead-on melt value. The statue of liberty one is quite beautiful to behold.

Anyways, I thought the Dansco album gold page should include spaces for the classic head quarter and half eagle coins, since the silver and copper coins go back to the early 1800s. Also, it needs a space for a commemorative, as there are spaces for silver commemoratives.

All this to say, I made some "modifications" to my Dansco album. I used a hole punch, which worked fairly well. The cut through the cardboard was really clean, but it left some wrinkles on the outer layer around the hole. I used a circular covering of the same material in royal blue, and now it looks pretty clean, leaving the new coins accented with a blue halo. :-) The plastic see through slider still covers the coins completely.

Now I just need to put appropriate labels, and I'm good to go.
