Question My strangest Jeff

Here is one I have had for about 4 years. It was given to me by my coin guy as he did not know what it is either. It appears to be some kind of waffling. The cuts are just deep enough to go through the raised portions on both sides. The date is 1964. Any ideas?

post mint damage

I would say post mint damage. I don't think it a waffle cancelled coin yours looks more like a pancake to me.

I think a person that does the strange crop designs got a hold of this coin. post mint damage This is what a waffle cancelled coin looks like below.

I also think that aliens could have took it up on there craft an used a device called thueromiantuu to damage the coin and tell us that there among us.

Also could be post alien damage I know of this device i was abducted about ten years ago, and they gave me a strange haircut with it. That's why they call me UFO JOE for short .

LOL. Well, I trust you guys won't mind if I try to find out more than "the aliens did it." The marks are very uniform in spread and depth. I am hoping some expert can tell me at least that this was mint damage?

No mint damage,

There is nothing in the minting process that would cause this - it would have also been caught by the riddler and several other functions that weed out errors - this coin went to a machine shop during somebody's lunch break and they abused it with "who knows what or really cares" type of lathe making tools or punches or hammers or ?????
But it ain't mint damage,
Just this experts opinion of course.

Must say it is a very unique looking coin! Cancelled reject or not I'd keep it.

I have every intention of keeping it. I don't know if it's worth anything to anyone but me, but thinking of having it certified.

So what your showing is that the way the state quarters are waffled is the ONLY way they were EVER waffled?????? UH HUH. Seems kinda uninformed and narrow minded to me.
