Very nice. Are you doing a set of every date. or just the varieties with a few extras?

Thank you. I'm going for a set of every date and the varieties. I usually buy the more expensive dates first but I'm just buying these casually as nice examples come along. This is why the 1938 is missing. I havent found one that I like yet.

Thanks, That '48 is going to be a killer, if I can find a decent one that is. I've never seen one either but I'll find one, although it may take a while. As I get these I'll be posting them in my CT photo album where these are at and here in this forum also.

thx for sharing Indianhead... is 1938 is a key date as it is for Brit India Rupee coin?

one more thing i noticed is that the chain which is appears on the GV is different from the one as portrayed on the indian rupee coins....

Last edited by Mumbapuri; 01-18-2009 at 02:54 AM. Reason: GV pic is different

With a mintage of only 90,304 it is considered a semi key in the Canadian Dollar series. There are scarcer coins in this series that would be considered the key dates such as the 1948 with a mintage of 18,780. Here are the mintage figures for the Canadian Dollar series.
