So what was so wrong with the eagle reverse. I thought that it was one of the better looking eagles on our coins. The new sac fits in with the pres. dollars that look like casino tokens, IMO.

They should use the Bald Eagle silver dollar has the basis for a $1 dollar coin. Keep the Sac composition, but make it bi-metal with a nickel clad center and the bronze rim. Wish someone could Photoshop it!!!

I like the Sac comp, but I don't think it ages well on the main center of the coins. Cost and look make sense, so I think think the bi-metal version would solve this and make a novel coin.

Strange, the design looks fine but the coin looks terrible.
It is pretty accurate, maybe it just doesn't translate well.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the design pic next to the coin.....How are the Lincolns going to turn out?

I think it looks better than I expected. I do think they made a mistake with the choice of lettering font on the reverse.

I can agree with placing Native American achievments on the reverse such as Jim Thorpe and the Code Talkers from WW2. How about Native American celebrations such as the Sioux Ghost Dance.
Don't worry, you've got at least 13 more years of these things an all of those have been proposed. I'm sure they will get around to them.

And WHY are they now using $1 over "One Dollar"?
Dumbing down of America, we can't expect people to be able to READ a denomination anymore so we are slowly switching over to numbers to try and make it easier to understand.

Is the coin still golden-color?
Yes

All it takes is a little patience. Just let these coins circulate for a while. They'll turn green on their own, that is IF they ever make it to circulation.

Is there anyone out there that likes this coin? I agree we need changes to our coinage but classy changes not crap.

The big question is:
